Scores of old cars and street rods filled the parking lot all morning and the participants walked around the lot looking at each others cars while enjoying a glass of fine Piety Flats Wine or delicious peach sundae in the shady adjacent picnic area.
The Vintiques have hosted the annual Vintiques Northwest Nationals in Yakima for the past 29 years. This year the run was held at the Yakima County Fairgrounds on July 31 - August 3, 2003 and included cars manufactured in 1954 and earlier. Vintiques of Yakima began in 1974 with a handful of energetic street rod enthusiasts and has grown to an organization of more than 160 families who stress street rod safety, promote family participation in club activities, and generously donate time and money to community needs.
