News from Piety Flats Winery. Here is a short run down of the upcoming events during the Fourth of July in the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail in Yakima
Main Event
On Saturday, July 4th from 7 – 11 PM, the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail will host the main event of this patriotic weekend. Have a glass of your favorite Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail wine, learn the reason we swirl, sniff and sip with a 15-minute course by winemaker Paul Vandenberg, listen to the well-known, popular Coyote Kings blues band, enjoy a BBQ dinner, and view the fireworks from the top of the hill at Silver Lake Winery at Roza Hills! A logo wine glass is included, and many of the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail winery owners will be there, too.
Wine from all the wineries of the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail will be available. Tickets for the main event are limited and can be purchased at www.shopwineyakima.com or at www.LocalWineEvents.com or at the door for $45.00. *No one under 21, please.
July 3rd, 4th, and 5th
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 3rd. 4th and 5th of July, 2009, wineries in the Rattlesnake Hills, just outside Yakima, will also provide free live blues music, food vendors, crafts, etc. And others will have Blues music playing in the tasting rooms, along with specials on wine. The only cost is for the main event! Come and enjoy the wine, music, food and atmosphere, and celebrate ‘The Big Birthday’ with us in style. The line-up includes:
Friday, July 3rd
5:30-8:30 pm Piety Flats Winery: Just Us ~ Gourmet Picnic foods available-bring blankets and or lawn chairs (and sunglasses).
6-9 pm Paradisos del Sol: Rod Giles Band ~ Miz Dee’s BBQ available from 5 PM
Saturday, July 4th
11:30-2:30 pm Tefft Cellars: Darnell Scott and Desert Blues ~ Gourmet foods available
12-3 pm Knight Hill Winery: BBQ II Blues Band ~ Lunch available
1-4 pm Silver Lake Winery at Roza Hills: Rävinwolf ~ Barbeque lunch available
3:00 – 6:00 pm Bonair Winery: Ben Johnson Blues Duo ~ Riesling bratwursts available
7 – 11 PM: Main Event at Silver Lake Winery at Roza Hills, $45 pp (Includes wine class, BBQ dinner, a glass of wine from your favorite Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail winery, logo wineglass, dancing to live blues music with the Coyote Kings, and viewing the fireworks over the Valley)
